Matthew Kowalski is a composer based in Providence, Rhode Island whose art is focused on how people interact and relate through music. It is often representative of specific relationships he has with other musicians and focuses on how solidarity can be reinforced through communal artistic expression. His art also confronts our relationships with technology and the differences between putting technology to work and working with technology towards an artistic goal, mirroring the relationships that we might like to have with each other as artists and workers.
